Grade 5 Reflection

My Year in Grade 5 was fun and challenging. I worked hard to persevere in math time. At the beginning of the year I did not know how to do long division and now I can do it!

In writing I enjoyed the fantasy unit, because you can let your imagination flow and think of amazing out of this world ideas like time travel, dragons, knights and castles, and pretty much anything you can think of.

In Reading I enjoyed the fantasy unit. I thought it was fun because you got to read creative books
with cool features. For example, warriors where there was creative characters, plots and settings.

This was my 6th year doing Eureka Math. I thought math was hard at the beginning of the year because I did not understand many of the strategies. Now, i'm better at long division, multiplication, and fractions.

I enjoyed reading but I thought writing was challenging for me because I needed to be able to sit without moving for a long time. but now I can sit and write much longer and my stamina and writing in general has improved a lot. in writing I enjoyed the fantasy unit because i can write whatever comes to my head

I learned about the Columbian Exchange because

I thought Science was super fun because  you can do cool experiments.
I know I am really good the with energy and matter unit but
I know I need more practice on variables

The most important Core Value to me is creativity because most things I like such as music, art, making things and science require a lot of creativity

In Grade 5 I think the most challenging thing we did of all was the MAP tests because there was a lot of them and they were long and hard

In Grade 5 I think the most enjoyable thing we did of all was the energy and matter unit in science because it involved animals and food chains which i know a lot about and enjoy.

This year I am most proud of the science test in the energy and matter  because  I got E which is the best score I got the whole year

When I think about Middle School I feel nervous but very exited

I know I must persevere more in middle school but I’m most looking forward to the food and the electives I think one challenge might be the extra work But I will keep on trying.
